These outstanding 108 innovators (finalists) across 34 States (excluding Ebonyi, Sokoto, Zamfara) represent the very best of Nigerian excellence. Their solutions span critical sectors including agriculture, healthcare, education, clean energy, climate technology, advanced manufacturing, artificial intelligence, biotechnology, robotics, and other frontier technology fields. Collectively, they demonstrate that Nigeria’s future is being built by bold thinkers who are solving real problems with practical, scalable, and science-driven solutions.
From improving food security and strengthening healthcare systems to advancing sustainable energy and industrial innovation, these finalists embody the transformative power of Deep Tech innovation in addressing pressing societal challenges.
The InnovateNaija finalists emerged from a competitive and transparent two-phase selection process, designed to ensure fairness, merit, and national representation.
The selection process was conducted in two rigorous phases to ensure fairness, quality, and alignment with the program’s objectives. In Phase 1 (Eligibility & Compliance Screening), all submissions were reviewed to confirm that applicants were Nigerian, either residents of or indigenes of the state from which they applied, and that their entries strictly followed the required format, including the two-minute video time limit. Only applications that met these foundational criteria advanced to the next stage.
In Phase 2 (Technical & Impact Evaluation), qualified entries were assessed based on clarity of presentation, originality, societal relevance, feasibility, scalability, and the applicant’s demonstrated commitment. Innovations were required to address pressing societal challenges with practical, sustainable solutions and must qualify as Deep Tech—grounded in significant scientific, engineering, or technological advancement rather than low-tech or purely market-driven ideas.
The InnovateNaija State Finalists reflect the diversity, resilience, and brilliance of innovators across the federation. They are researchers, engineers, founders, technologists, and problem-solvers who understand that sustainable development requires bold, technology-driven solutions.

The journey continues with two voting stages set to commence soon. The first stage will determine the Top Innovator in each of the 34 state from among the finalists. Following this, a second national voting and evaluation stage will identify the Top 15 Innovators overall, recognizing the most outstanding Deep Tech solutions across the federation.
